#BLACKLIVESMATTER | Keep Your Head Up.

DSC03485.jpg

To my brothers and sisters throughout the world, I want to let you know that you are beautiful and we are in this together. Nothing can stop us.

Please tell your stories without apologizing. Please continue to hold your head high. Please be proud of the skin you are in.

We are the culture. We are the change. 400+ years of systematic oppression and racism hasn’t killed our spirits. We are going to overcome all the adversities that have been thrown at us. We are taking back our power. We are educating the world on what they have done wrong and they are listening. We are creating a better future for the generations to come.

In the last week, there has been a march in all 50 states and the support for the #BlackLivesMatter movement has grown throughout the world.

We are fighting for equality and the end to police brutality. Unfortunately for the opposition, we are winning. The world is on our side.

We are currently living in a civil rights movement that is larger than the ones before us.

As Tupac would say,

I know it seems hard sometimes but remember one thing. Through every dark night, there’s a bright day after that. So no matter how hard it get, stick your chest out, keep ya head up… and handle it.”

“Did you hear about the rose that grew from a crack in the concrete?
Proving nature's law is wrong it
learned to walk with out having feet.
Funny it seems, but by keeping its dreams,
it learned to breathe fresh air.
Long live the rose that grew from concrete
when no one else ever cared.”- Tupac
